Mouse

Bowlback Mandolin restoration, circa 1890's. I got this at a local antique store for $60. It had been chewed on by mice for many years... I had to replace the tuners and add a spanish cedar peghead plate, new strings and replace the fretboard with a Paduk fretboard. I did fabricate a new saddle and nut. The strings are very low tension. I call her "Mouse" as I had to leave a few chew marks on the back of the peghead and neck, and let the string ends fly as tribute to her whiskers.
